In February 2020 Michael Harding returned from a month away to the isolation of his home in the hills above Lough Allen. A few months previously Michael’s great friend and teacher the writer Tom MacIntyre had passed away. Over the course of one sunny spring day as the sun rose and set during that tumultuous time of lockdowns and self-isolation, Michael Harding looks back at a life lived, and in doing so, he vividly and evocatively brings to life what is at the heart of a country’s identity; storytelling, love, and human intimacy; and shows us how even though everything has changed, yet many things remain the same.
