Raising Sparks

Malka unwittingly discovers she has a great mystical gift and fearing the wrath from her traditionalist Rabbi father escapes the confines of the old city of Jerusalem and flees first to Safed and then to Jaffa, pursued by Moshe, the Russian immigrant, her father’s top Rabbinical student. Troubled by her Kabbalistic gifts she knows she must return to Jerusalem and help her sister recover but fears she will be rejected by her orthodox family.
